Fun Photoshoot with Grandma!
I want to start off by saying how amazing this woman is. She works so hard at everything she does and always puts everyone and their happiness over her own. She is the strongest yet the most loving person that I’ve even known. While I was growing up she would always make sure I had the best of life. She would always have my grandparents and great grandparents over and have big holidays with all the family. She would decorate my bike for our neighborhood 4th of July parade, she would sing to us when she woke us up every morning and volunteer all her free time at my school to make sure I had the best of the best. As I got older we would go on summer vacations and bike rides every sunday. She was always there at every practice, cheer competition, swim meets, and field trips. She was my biggest fan through ever single stage of my life and is still my biggest fan today. I couldn’t ask for a better cheerleader. Looking back, I know there were more times that I should have said “thank you” more and rolled my eyes less. Regardless of my teenage years and shouts of “all my friends are why can’t I” she always saw me through and had my best interest in mind. Even when I thought I knew it all.
With everything she has faced in her life and the strength she has developed, proves to me that when life is tough, I can be tougher. She also let me know that it’s okay to cry. It’s nice to know that in those breaking moments I have a mother like her to lean on. When I lost my dad she was the person who would make sure I was okay every single day. She still calls me on the hard days and makes sure I am okay. She is my rock that carried me through life decision, and new chapters. She is the person I go to for all the right answers (except cooking haha) I do not know what it is that makes the words and hugs of a mother so comforting and heartwarming, but I must say she never lets me down or feel anything less than perfect. I think it is because she will not give up on me no matter what.
She taught me the importance of hard work and she worked so hard to give me the greatest life possible. She is my extra boost that pushes me to pursue all that I want to take on in life and always pushed me to be the very best version of myself.. When I was in college and I would have a hard test coming up she would always say “ You will do good on it, you are smart and I know you will be fine” She answer her phone with the same enthusiasm every time, whether its my first or fourth call of the day. She is an amazing mom and a even more amazing grandma. Words cannot say how grateful and proud I am to be called her daughter.
Mom,
The amount of love that I have for you is out of this world, not only do you guide me through life, but you provide me with the perfect image of what to look up to.Thank you for loving me when I am not so lovable. Thank you for lifting me up when I am at my lowest; thank you for being my number one fan. Thank you for raising me with such kindness. Thank you for believing in me even when I don’t believe in myself. Thank you for becoming my best friend, being my first (and daily) phone call, and being my biggest and most caring confidant. Thank you for the unconditional love that you always show everyday. For everything you have ever done for me, and everything you will ever do for me, I could never thank you enough. There are no words to let you know how thankful I am. I certainly wouldn’t be the woman I am today if it weren’t for you. So thank you for absolutely everything. You’re my hero!
